Stephanie: well that’s good, I’m glad you’re okay cuz that’s what I need, is your approval on all things I do. I laughed so hard. We always say that our daughter Stephanie (who has a can Milkshake), is fluent in 3 languages, English, French, and Sarcasm. Sometimes listening to the two of you is like listening to a recording of our daughter and I having a conversation.

Love this video! Watching it while watching my husband play Redemption at Nationals 😊 It’s a card game like Magic the Gathering. Steph, I’m half tempted to come with something that has bunting on it (that’s not a cross stitch pattern) to Stitch Con next year 😂 Pam, if you want, your wheel probably has a setting you can change to “non-repeating”, meaning that it won’t pick the same choice without having to remove the choice from the wheel. Oh no! I’m designing a Lincoln quilt…BUNTING is involved 😳

Ok ladies…love ya, mean it, blah blah blah…all the things. Let’s get to my reason for commenting! 😂😂 I heard the discussion about PDFs and books and the “out of sight, out of mind dilemma” that keeps us from stitching them and thought I would share my version of a hack. While many believe stitching is two hobbies, collecting the things and stitching the things, I think there’s another hobby: organizing the things!!! I have a Google Drive with all of my PDFs saved in folders with the same categories as my paper patterns…did I mention I have nerd tendencies??? When I get a PDF, I print the front cover only (I know, it’s still a piece of paper, but only one…my attempt at trying to save most of a tree, at least). Then I put that in my paper patterns so I see it when I’m perusing my patterns for something that Tickles My Fancy (see what I did there?). I also save them in the xStitch app, but I don’t typically dig in there for ideas….thats more to keep me from buying multiples (just kidding, I still get caught in the hype sometimes and buy with reckless abandon, throwing caution (and money) to the wind). Also, I store patterns by subject then designer. So if I have a lot of PDFs from one designer in a category, I make a collage of the front pictures to save even MORE of that tree cause you know you can’t buy just one pattern at a time when talking about PDFs (think Frosted Pumpkin and Halloween). My goal in the future is to find flip throughs on FlossTube of the books and magazines I have and screen shot some of the pictures to do the same…but baby steps for now. Hope this helps someone’s organization or at least gets them started on something that works for them. I truly do love y’all…enough that I try to watch 1 or 2 older videos a video so I can say I was there in the beginning…but later!!!😂😂

In case I forget to tell you IRL, my sister played on a club rugby team in college. Resulted in her first, but not last, torn meniscus. And in case there was any doubt - she did not get her athleticism from her oldest sister. 😂😂

I’m afraid Steph and I are on the opposite side of the fence when it comes to bunting and lemurs 😮. I love bunting and enjoyed stitching it when I stitched Suffrage Act back in 2020. Despite being an animal lover, however, I have never cared for lemurs. Last weekend our youngest daughter and her husband were home to attend a wedding. When we took them to the church we drove right past the Duke Lemur Center which, mercifully, I’d forgotten existed. There’s something about those creatures and their alien eyes that gives me the creeps 😬. Steph would probably enjoy a visit to the lemur center, but I wouldn’t go there if the entire place was decked out in bunting 😆. @carolinacajuncreates

I'm probably too young (I'm a few years older than Steph) to get the Debbie/Dallas reference but I did and I snorted my water out my nose! My husband thought he would have to resuscitate me and then when I told him why I was choking he told me that cross stitching was obviously more interesting than he thought! Thanks for the laughter 😂

Hi Pam and Steph 😊I have to say Stephanie had me rolling with laughter with this episode of floss tube. I was cutting my fabric for my cross stitch project bags and when Steph said about the husbands how “ we love the husband we don’t want one but we love it for you” I lost it😂😂. Then Steph continued with the bunting story and again had to stop cutting out my bag and was at it again with laughing. I have to say you ladies made my day. I love watching you two as I have been for years.such fun keep up the great floss tube.

Well, Stephanie....you made me do it....why is Bunting called Bunting.....According to Wikipedia - The origin of the word is uncertain, but bunt means colourful in German. The term bunting is also used to refer to a collection of flags, and particularly those of a ship. The officer responsible for raising signals using flags is known as bunts, a term still used for a ship's communications officer. Another entry on Google under the Brief History of Bunting is " The word “bonting” in Middle English referred to the action of sifting grain. With its loose weave, the “bunting” fabric would have been ideal for such a task. " Also many articles refer to the fabric that flags are made of is bunting.....Stephanie, what caught my attention mostly is you were struggling with the word Bunting and here you are a huge baseball fan and they bunt or practice Bunting (yes, a different definition). Does it bother you when people talk about bunting in baseball? If you must......sigh...... go ahead and dislike bunting but since I live in an old New England town, bunting is big during Memorial DAy and the 4th and a good old white New England house with bunting is very festive for the holidays. Oh my gosh, y’all had me in stitches (pun intended I guess). 😊 Anyway, I was watching this episode while putting on my makeup, and I was laughing so hard in the bathroom and forgot my husband was in the living room. I then knew he was out there wondering why I was in the bathroom laughing so hard. 😂 husbands not needed. I got lucky with mine, whew!!! For my bday in August, celebrating my 65th, I am going to have 65 Halloween new starts for the year. All projects picked out, kitted up and ready to go. October I stitch from current JCS Halloween magazine and stitch on 31 new starts. Hey, I’m a crazy old lady now!!! LOL!!! Enjoy your trip Steph. You have me second guessing the bunting along my fence, but then again it’s my fence so if Stephanie ever finds herself driving through northern NJ and aimlessly passes my house ~ best I can tell ya is close your eyes…but watch the turn at the end of the road! And any local bears, deer or turkey. I wonder if the bunting attracts them to my house. You might be onto something. Oh wait, I do have a flag. So they cancel each other out. Whew. It's so weird.... I too totally dislike bunting!! Especially the plastic kind, I think just like you Steph... I have pondered why the people that named it as such did so!! I think of bunting as in baby bunting, not gathered and frilly fringy stuff hanging off your railing or porch or wherever they decide to drape it up... You two crack me up!!
